Terms of Service

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and MyOwnerOS. Please read them before creating an account or using the service.

Effective and last updated: August 17, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using the MyOwnerOS website, applications, or services (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them. “MyOwnerOS,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of the MyOwnerOS Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you use the Service for a household, company, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for it.

2. What MyOwnerOS provides

MyOwnerOS helps you organize information about property, equipment, vehicles, documents, costs, coverage, maintenance, manuals, contacts, and reminders. Features may include automated or artificial-intelligence-assisted suggestions.

MyOwnerOS is an organizational tool—not a professional adviser or emergency service.

The Service does not replace manufacturer instructions, recalls and safety notices, qualified contractors, mechanics, insurers, warranty providers, accountants, attorneys, medical professionals, or emergency services.

You are responsible for reviewing information before relying on it or acting on it. If information conflicts with an official source or qualified professional, use the official or professional guidance.

3. Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials confidential, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable safeguards.

The Service may support multiple people or shared records. Only invite people you trust and confirm that you have permission to add information about another person or property.

4. Your content and records

You keep ownership of documents, photos, text, and other content you submit (“User Content”). You give MyOwnerOS a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display User Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the Service, follow your instructions, and comply with law.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content. Do not upload another person’s confidential information without authorization. Do not use MyOwnerOS as the only copy of irreplaceable records; keep independent copies of documents you may need for a claim, tax matter, sale, warranty, or emergency.

5. AI and automated features

AI features may read content you intentionally submit, locate public manuals, answer questions, or suggest fields, maintenance items, and other information. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Unless the feature expressly says otherwise, an AI suggestion has not been verified by a manufacturer, insurer, warranty provider, contractor, or government agency.

You must review and confirm suggestions before using them. Do not use AI output to make emergency, safety-critical, legal, medical, tax, financial, insurance-coverage, or warranty-eligibility decisions.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service, violate law or another person’s rights, access another account without permission, bypass access or plan limits, probe or disrupt security, upload malicious code, scrape the Service at scale, reverse engineer protected portions of the Service except where law permits, or use the Service to develop or train a competing model or database without written permission.

We may suspend or limit access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or third parties; investigate suspected misuse; prevent fraud; or comply with law. When practical, we will provide notice and a chance to correct the issue.

7. Third-party services and content

The Service may link to or interact with manufacturers, retailers, payment processors, cloud providers, AI providers, or other third parties. Their services, content, availability, and policies are controlled by them. A link does not mean MyOwnerOS endorses or guarantees the third party.

Manufacturer manuals, product names, trademarks, and third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Confirm that a manual matches the exact model and revision before use.

8. Plans, billing, cancellation, and refunds

Prices, plan features, billing periods, renewal terms, and taxes will be shown before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew for the disclosed period until canceled. You authorize the payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for disclosed fees and applicable taxes.

Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deleting an app, stopping use, or removing a payment method does not cancel a subscription. Our Refunds & Cancellation Policy is part of these Terms.

9. Changes and availability

We may improve, add, remove, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. If a material change negatively affects a paid subscription, we will provide notice when reasonably required and any remedy required by law.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will apply prospectively, and we will provide notice when required. The date at the top shows the latest revision.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” MyOwnerOS disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy of AI output, third-party content, reminders, estimates, manual matches, coverage information, or records supplied by users.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so these exclusions may not fully apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyOwnerOS and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, insurance proceeds, warranty rights, or business opportunities arising from the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of MyOwnerOS for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid MyOwnerOS for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under applicable consumer law.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, if you use the Service for a business or organization, you will defend and indemnify MyOwnerOS from third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of another person’s rights. This does not require an individual consumer to indemnify MyOwnerOS for MyOwnerOS’s own misconduct.

13. Ending use and data recovery

You may stop using the Service at any time. Following account cancellation, MyOwnerOS intends to provide a 30-day recovery window for customer files before deletion, subject to technical availability, legal retention requirements, and the final confirmation shown during cancellation. Certain billing, security, audit, dispute, and legal records may be kept longer as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Disputes and general terms

Before filing a claim, please email support@myowneros.com with a description of the issue and requested resolution so both sides can try in good faith to resolve it informally. This does not extend a legal deadline or prevent either side from seeking urgent relief.

Applicable law governs these Terms without overriding mandatory consumer protections. If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the relevant business, subject to applicable law.
